Following up on this story, Abeselom Hailemariam, the manager of the parking lot at the Udvar-Hazy Center (Annex to the Air and Space Museum at Washington Dulles International Airport) has plead guilty to stealing about $1.4M in parking fees.
The most amazing part of this story might be the one that is not discussed: how it could happen in the first place. The museum’s management must have been very negligent not to put checks into the system to measure the cars coming into the complex. If there was a system, it must not have been a good one.
