Traffic Calming Update
As a direct result of our conversations with Supervisor Cathy Hudgins’ office regarding Traffic Calming Measures in both Fox Mill and Fox Mill 2, there is now a 3-Way Stop at the following interesections: Keele and Magna Carta, Mc Learn and Quincy Adams ,and Quincy Adams and Wendell Holmes. Please be aware of the changes. Speed throughout the neighborhood is only 25 mph. Please drive carefully.
CPD Hearing Scheduled for Board of Supervisors
After many months of discussion and work with Supervisor Cathy Hudgins’ office, we have just received notice that the Board of Supervisors took action on Tuesday, March 23 to authorize advertisement of a public hearing for April 27, 2010 at 4:30 PM to consider adopting the proposed amendment to the Fairfax County Code that would expand the Reston Large Area Community Parking District. This item is moving forward because of a request by the Fox Mill Estates Homeowners Association. Supporters can speak at the Hearing or forward comments to be considered by the Board.
Fairfax County Connector Buses
Residents should be aware that due to buget cuts proposed for FY 2011, Fairfax County Connector buses that serve Fox Mill Estates, and either go through the neighborhood or service the Reston South Park & Ride are being planned for elimination on June 25, 2010. The following routes are reported as up for elimination: #552, 553, 554, 557, 929, 951 & 952. Discussions regarding these cuts by the county can be followed on the Facebook page: Save Our Buses – Dulles Corridor. which has been created by area residents and riders.
