ASSAULT, 2200 block of Cedar Cove Court, A 47-year-old woman reported someone came to her door to sell her meat products. The man asked to use the restroom. Once inside the home, he allegedly touched the victim against her will. He then left the home. The victim was not injured. The suspect was described as white, 20 to 30 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and between 160 and 190 pounds. He had brown hair.

Shoplifter assaults two, including a police officer in Franklin Farm incident

From Fairfax County police:

ASSAULT, 4100 block of Meadowland Court, 4/24/13, 2:10 p.m. Officers were called for a shoplifting with assault at a business in 13300 block of Franklin Farm Road. The suspect fled. Officers located the suspect who allegedly resisted officers when they attempted to detain him. Maher Hana, 37, of Chantilly, was charged with assault, larceny, and assault on a police officer. The first victim was not injured. The officer received minor injuries.

Gang wounding at Southgate Square in Reston

Southgate Square is in the Dogwood area of Reston, near South Lakes Drive and Reston Parkway. From Fairfax County police:

ASSAULT, 2200 block of Southgate Square, 4/11/13, 1 a.m. A 26-year-old reported he was allegedly stabbed by someone known to him. The suspect fled. Many officers, the helicopter, and a K-9 team searched for the suspect but did not locate him. The victim was treated at the hospital non life-threatening injuries. Later in the afternoon, detectives located and arrested Magdaleno Aguilar Orantes, 18, of Reston. He was charged with malicious wounding and gang participation.

Herndon woman assaults police officer

This incident took place off Stuart Mill Road near Oak Hill:

ASSAULT, 2500 block of Coulter Lane, 4/6/13, 11:40 p.m. Officer responded for domestic dispute. Allegedly a woman in the driveway was causing a disruption in the neighborhood. Mary Noori, 44, of Herndon, was charged with disorderly conduct, assault on a police officer, and resisting arrest.

 

Man assaulted and robbed in late night incident at Oak Hill home

From Fairfax County police. This incident occurred near Coopermine and Sunrise Valley Drive.

ROBBERY, 13500 block of Mansarde Avenue, 4/3/13, 1:25 a.m. A 35-year-old reported someone knocked at his door. When he opened it, three unknown men entered the home. They assaulted him and stole several items from the home to include electronics. The victim was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Reston weekend crime report

Various incidents in and around Reston reported to Fairfax County police this weekend:

Near Walnut Branch Road and the Fairfax County Parkway:

BURGLARY, 1600 block of Sierra Woods Court, 3/31/13, 2:55 a.m. A resident reported someone entered the home, but nothing was stolen. Forced entry was made through a window.

In downtown Reston:

ASSAULT, 11900 block of Market Street, 3/31/13, 12:45 a.m. Officer responded for an alleged drunk and disorderly individual. Logan Bonjur, 23, of Reston, allegedly became combative with officers and was charged with assault on a police officer.

Near Glade Drive and Reston Parkway:

GRAFFITI, 2200 block of Emerald Heights Court, 3/29/13, 11 a.m. A resident reported letters spray painted on a fence. The owner was notified to remove the graffiti.

 

Pepper spray used to end incident in Herndon neighborhood

ASSAULT ON OFFICER, 1500 block of Youngs Point Place, 2/26/13, 00:15 a.m. Officers responded for a distraught man around 5 p.m. on 2/25/13. A concerned family member left the home and met officers. Allegedly the man pointed a gun at the officers. Non-lethal pepper gas was deployed to cause the man to exit the home. Richard Gassman, 45, of Herndon, was charged with assault on a police officer.

Assault and robbery near Dogwood Elementary

From Fairfax County police:

ROBBERY, 2200 block of Marginella Drive, 2/25/13, 3:10 p.m. A 24-year-old reported two men allegedly beat him and stole cash and a cell phone. They fled in a vehicle. Officers found the car and the suspects fled on foot. The helicopter and a K-9 team assisted in the search. Nydale Sheppard, 27, of Reston, and Angel Hernandez, 19, of Herndon, were each charged with robbery.
