Pellet shooting at Rocky Run Middle School in Chantilly

From Fairfax police:

Police responded to a report of two students believed to have been struck by shots from a pellet gun around 10:00 a.m. This incident took place outside, on the grounds of Rocky Run Middle School, 4400 Stringfellow Road on Friday, June 15. The students, a boy, 14, and a girl, 13, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Inova Fair Oaks Hospital.

Police and school officials immediately secured the school and searched the area. Within 30 minutes, police apprehended a group of four teen-agers that they believe were involved with the incident. The police are continuing to investigate and charges are pending.

The suspects are juveniles who did not attend the middle school. Police have recovered the pellet gun believed to have been used in the incident.
