School bus arrival times being moved up 5 minutes in AM for Rachel Carson Middle School

In an effort to alleviate the late arrival of buses at RCMS in the morning, transportation has adjusted all Carson routes by five minutes. Starting Monday morning, September 27, 2010, ALL RCMS BUSES will begin their routes five minutes earlier, so plan to have your child at his or her bus stop 5-10 minutes earlier until a new pick-up time has been established.  Please contact the Transportation Office at 703-249-7000 if you have questions.

Oak Hill break-ins?

The Fox Mill web site has some information, perhaps anecdotal, on neighborhood break-ins and a man living in the woods. Feel free to post a comment if you can confirm any of these crimes.

The admin here does periodically check Fairfax County police logs looking for stories and usually there is not much in the Fair Oaks district to report. If I can confirm any of these from official police reports I’ll post what I find.
