Teen assaulted and robbed on Fox Mill Road
From the Fairfax County Police Logs:
MOB ASSAULT/ ROBBERY: A 16-year-old teenage boy was assaulted and robbed on his way
home from work around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10. The boy was riding his bike in the area
of Fox Mill Road and Sunrise Valley Drive when four other teenage boys came out of the
woods; the victim recognized three of them. One suspect reportedly pushed the victim off his
bicycle and another suspect kicked and assaulted him. They took his cell phone and fled. The
two other teens did not participate in the robbery. The victim returned home and called police.
He did not require medical treatment at that time. Officers located the suspects in the area. The
two teenage suspects were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with assault
by mob and robbery.
McNair Principal wins Leadership Award

62nd Annual Fairfax County 4-H Fair and Farm Show
Find old-fashioned country fun with carnival games, rides and exhibits. 4-H Fair runs 9am to 5pm. Car- nival open from 11am until 10pm on Saturday and 11am until 5pm on Sunday. Watch the 4-H exhibi- tors getting their project animals ready for the show, visit exhibit booths, enjoy tasty fair food, entertainment on stage, dog and horse shows and much more! See real farmers use antique equipment in the fields and around the barn, watch a tractor pull or touch a big truck. Try your hand at milking a cow or goat, shelling corn or other farm chores. Free admission to the 4-H Fair. $5 parking fee per car.
